The partnership between grocer The Fresh Market and live commerce and “shoppable” video platform Firework has produced double-digit growth across several key performance indicators, including a +97% conversion rate for Firework’s short-form videos at thefreshmarket.com.
The company said the results were achieved through a combination of video formats and content types delivered across multiple channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and thefreshmarket.com.
In May 2019, The Fresh Market announced it was partnering with Firework to launch a shoppable video technology that allows shoppers to view recipes on their mobile devices while watching how to make them in real time. Shoppers can then purchase any items used in the recipe directly from the retailer’s website or app without having to leave the video. With this new technology, The Fresh Market is able to offer customers more engaging shopping experiences beyond what traditional product videos can provide.
The new shoppable video technology also enables brands like The Fresh Market to leverage their existing content by adding interactive features that allow consumers to purchase items directly from within a video.
